สปส.6-09 is the notice an employer sends to the Social Security Office when an insured employee stops working for it, for example on resignation or dismissal. It is due by the 15th of the month after the month in which the employee left.
The deadline and the penalty are printed on the SSO’s own registration form: failing to notify can be punished by up to 6 months’ imprisonment, a fine of up to 20,000 baht, or both. Leavers are easy to miss because payroll simply stops for them, which is exactly the month this form is due.
