What does payroll outsourcing cost in Thailand?
Thai providers mostly charge a flat monthly fee by headcount band, roughly 500 to 8,000 baht a month, while international providers charge per employee, roughly 160 to 650 baht a head. Which shape you are quoted matters more than the rate, because the two cross over at around fifteen staff.

Flat monthly, Thai providers
500 to 8,000 / month
Banded by headcount. One provider charges nothing at one or two staff.
Per employee, per month
160 to 650 a head
Often with a monthly minimum that binds until you reach fifteen or twenty staff.
Employer of record
USD 50 to 600 a head
A different product: hiring without a Thai entity at all.
The shape of the price, not the price
There are four shapes in this market and they are not comparable to each other. A flat monthly fee by headcount band. A rate per employee per month. A rate per employee per payroll run, which quietly doubles if you pay twice a month. And a per employee rate with a monthly minimum underneath it, which means the headline rate is fictional until you are big enough to reach it.
Work out your own cost at your actual headcount before comparing anything. At fifty staff, one provider in our sample works out to about a hundred baht a head, while a published per employee rate of 450 baht would cost more than four times that.
What should be inside the fee
- Salary calculation and payslips, in English if you need them.
- Personal income tax withholding and the monthly PND 1 filing.
- Social security contributions and the monthly SSO filing.
- The annual PND 1 Kor reconciliation, which is often quoted separately.
- Employee annual tax returns (PND 90 or 91), which are almost always extra.
Employer of record is a different question
If you have no Thai company at all, an employer of record hires the person onto its entity for you. That is a legitimate answer to a real problem, and it is priced in a different universe: our sample ran from about USD 50 to USD 600 per employee per month. One provider publishes both sides, USD 488 for employer of record against USD 28 for payroll on your own entity, which is the clearest statement of what the entity is worth that we found anywhere.

How we got these numbers
We read the public pages of 33 firms that publish something for this category, out of more than two hundred researched. No firm was contacted, no enquiry form was submitted, and nobody posed as a customer, which is the thing our own terms forbid customers to do to providers. Prices were taken only from a firm’s own domain, never from a directory or a comparison site, and never converted between currencies.
Published prices move, and a page can go stale between our reviews. This is a guide to what the market prints, not a quote, and not accounting or legal advice for your company. Found one that has changed? Tell us and we will fix it.
