What does a BOI application cost in Thailand?
Consultants publish BOI application fees from 180,000 to 320,000 baht, and the Board of Investment itself charges no fixed government filing fee for the application. Almost nobody publishes a BOI price at all, so the handful of firms that do are the only public benchmark that exists.

Out of more than two hundred firms researched, we found published BOI pricing at fewer than ten. Everyone else quotes only after a call. So treat the numbers below as a public benchmark rather than a market rate, and treat a quote that lands far outside them as a question to ask, not necessarily a problem.
What you are actually paying for
A BOI application is a written case for why your project deserves promotion, followed by a meeting where you defend it. The consultant fee buys the drafting of that case, the filing, and someone sitting beside you at the meeting. One firm prices additional meetings separately at 8,500 baht each, and translation at 1,500 baht a page, which tells you where the work actually sits.
Promotion is not the only route
BOI promotion is one of several ways a foreign owned company operates legally in Thailand. The US Treaty of Amity is cheaper and faster for American owners, and a Foreign Business Licence is the route where neither applies. A consultant who leads with BOI without asking which of these fits you is selling the expensive one. And if what you want is a long stay for yourself rather than promotion for a company, that is the LTR visa, a different application with a different price.

The part that is not the firm
These are charged by a government body and are the same whoever files for you. A quote that folds them in without saying so is not cheaper, it is less clear.

How we got these numbers
We read the public pages of 11 firms that publish something for this category, out of more than two hundred researched. No firm was contacted, no enquiry form was submitted, and nobody posed as a customer, which is the thing our own terms forbid customers to do to providers. Prices were taken only from a firm’s own domain, never from a directory or a comparison site, and never converted between currencies.
