What does monthly bookkeeping cost in Thailand?
Thai firms publish monthly bookkeeping from about 1,000 to 8,000 baht, and firms selling in English publish from about 4,000 to 20,000 baht for work of the same size. The number is meaningless without the document or transaction cap attached to it, which is the single thing to check before you compare two quotes.

Thai language firms
1,000 to 8,000 / month
Priced by documents or bills per month. The low end is a company with almost no activity.
Firms selling in English
4,000 to 20,500 / month
Same statutory work. The premium buys English reporting and an English speaking account manager, not more filing.
Above 150 transactions
20,000 to 195,000 / month
Volume pricing takes over and the two markets converge.
Read the cap, not the price
Almost every Thai firm bands its fee by the number of documents or bills a month, and almost every English language firm bands by transactions or says nothing at all. A quote of 4,000 baht against a quote of 8,000 baht tells you nothing until you know that one caps at 10 documents and the other at 60.
This is where most owners overpay, and it is not usually the firm being dishonest. It is a quote at 20 documents a month compared against a quote at 100, by someone who was never told the caps existed.
What the fee normally covers, and what it does not
A standard monthly package covers bookkeeping entries, the VAT return (PP 30) if you are registered, the withholding tax returns (PND 1, 3 and 53), social security filing, and a monthly report. It usually does not cover the annual audit, the annual return (PND 50), or the half year estimate (PND 51), and those are the three that surprise people.
Ask which of the annual items are inside the monthly fee. A quote that says "tax filings" and a quote that lists PND 50, PND 51 and the audit by name are not the same quote.
The dormant company case
A registered company that is not trading still files. Several firms publish a specific dormant rate, typically 500 to 2,500 baht a month, and at least one charges nothing at all for a month with no transactions. If you are holding a company you are not using, that is what you should be paying, not a full package.

How we got these numbers
We read the public pages of 101 firms that publish something for this category, out of more than two hundred researched. No firm was contacted, no enquiry form was submitted, and nobody posed as a customer, which is the thing our own terms forbid customers to do to providers. Prices were taken only from a firm’s own domain, never from a directory or a comparison site, and never converted between currencies.
Published prices move, and a page can go stale between our reviews. This is a guide to what the market prints, not a quote, and not accounting or legal advice for your company. Found one that has changed? Tell us and we will fix it.
